Biography
Jun Xu, PhD, Professor in Medicinal Chemistry & CADD, Director and Founder of Research Center for Drug Discovery (RCDD) and the HPC Center for Life Sciences (HPCCLS), Principal Investigator of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University. He received PhD degree in Chemistry from University of Science & Technology of China in 1989, finished his post-doc training in Protein NMR from Australian National University (ANU) and McGill University in Montreal.
Research Interest
High performance computer (HPC) algorithms for drug design, Chemomics and drug innovation, Structure Biology, Computer-aided drug design (CADD) and applications, Quantum Medicinal Chemistry, Drug lead identification and optimization based upon natural products and quasi-natural products, Chemo informatics and bioinformatics applied in the design of targeted drugs and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) remedies.
