Biography

Dr. Jayachandra Babu Ramapuram is an Associate Professor at the Department of Drug Discovery and Development, Harrison School of Pharmacy, Auburn University. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Madras and Masters and PhD degrees in Pharmaceutics from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India.He is currently major/co-major advisor to 6 Ph.D. students and has successfully graduated 5 students under his guidance. His laboratory is funded by few startup and mid-size pharmaceutical companies. He has authored and co-authored 50 research papers and 4 book chapters, and presented his research work in 60 poster and oral presentations in the several national and international conferences. He has served as a chair and co-chair of scientific sessions at the Annual National Meetings of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Society of Toxicology. He serves as an editorial board member for two journals and as a peer reviewer for more than 25 journals.

Research Interest

His research interests include formulation development of nanoparticle based formulations for topical and oral delivery, solubility improvement of insoluble drugs, percutaneous penetration enhancement techniques, transdermal drug delivery systems.
