Pharmacognosy

The study of medications originating from plants and herbs is known as pharmacognosy. Natural-source drugs can be generated using the methodologies of computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry, molecular drug design, protein structure prediction, molecular simulation, exploratory development, and biochemistry.
World sales of plant products were valued at $60 billion in 2002 and are predicted to rise at a 6.4% annual growth rate.
