Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics are two key areas of pharmacological medicine. Pharmacodynamics is that the study of the molecular, organic chemistry, and physiological effects of medicine on cellular systems and their mechanisms of action. PK focuses rather on how the body affects the drug, in terms of its absorption, metabolism, distribution and elimination.
